Carers Australia believes carers should be recognised for the valuable role they play in society. Carers are an integral part of Australia’s health system and are the foundation of our aged, disability and community care systems. This is a section for the community to recognise carers and leave messages of support.
not sure what carers week and carers day is all about, it didn't have any effect on my week.
we keep being told we are so important to the system, then how about really showing it??? IN REAL TERMS
we give up our lives,the ability to earn a living comparable to others in the community,and life is a constant struggle and what did the new pension rates do for us?????the bonuses were actually cut by $400 a year, and if you happen to need to work to survive,and you are not of age pension age, then you are actually worse off if you earn over $142 per fortnight, and even though they use a transitional method to work out your carer payment, it does not work if you work casual hours, and happen to start off working extra hours, and then your hours and pay is decreased, you end being worse off, I have earnt $139 less this fortnight,and only get $55 extra in carer payment?????? as you earn less, you get less put on your carer payment?????how does that work out to be an increase in conditions?????
we might need support to survive, but we can still add up.
So could someone please explain to me how we are better off under the new pension rates????? It just doesn't add up when you put the figures down, and politicians don't listen
there is no mention how much pay attend carer's week at kings pk.??? get discount on concession. ???? I thought this is funded by the fed government. I've been looking forward of attending carers week.
