Friday 16 October

Formal opening of Carers Week. Minister for Families, Hon Malarndirri McCarthy will formally open Carers Week at Parliament House from 3:00pm to 4:30pm. Due to Parliamentary protocol attendance at this event will be by INVITATION ONLY.

Sunday 18 October

CELEBRATION OF Caring Families. A non denominational celebration of the spirituality of carers and caring at East Point. This will be preceded by a breakfast. Breakfast served from 8.30 am. Celebration ceremony including the launch of Celebration Balloons begins at 9am. Free of Charge, no limit. RSVP necessary for catering purposes.

Sunday 18 October

Young Carers 13 and older – “IT’S A MYSTERY”. Find out on the day what we are doing! Where: Casuarina Shopping Centre.  Time: 12- 2pm  Lunch included. Places are limited.

Tuesday 20 October

Carer family Harbour Cruise on Spirit of Darwin the boat will leave Cullen Bay Marina 5pm returning to Cullen Bay at 7.30pm Finger food, drinks and entertainment provided. Free of Charge, limit 100.

Friday 23 October

Sausage Sizzle at Royal Darwin Hospital Forecourt. 12pm start. Free of charge, all welcome.

There will also be Carer NT events for carers at Alice Springs, Katherine, Nguiu and Gumbalunga. The MJD Foundation will host an event on Groote Eylandt.
